Participate in the One Million Stars to End Violence Project - Workshops announced

Banana Shire Council in conjunction with Banana Shire Support Centre have signed up Banana Shire as a Star Weave Community for the One Million Stars to End Violence Project. We have committed to weaving 10,000 stars by July 2017!

Upcoming Workshops:

When: Tuesday April 4th and Wednesday April 5th (School Holidays)

Time: 10AM - 11:30AM

Where: Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery

Free and Materials supplied
Recommended age: Grade 6 +
Children must be supervised

Stars from all over the world will come together in one large installation at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

How to Get Involved:

Visit the website www.onemillionstars.net or facebook page onemillionstarstoendviolence for more information including instructions on how to weave a star.

Drop off weaved stars to:

  • Banana Shire Support Centre
  • Banana Shire Council libraries
  • Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery

Donations of ribbon gratefully accepted at any of these venues.
