29th Brigalow Arts Festival returns to Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery
Banana Shire Council will host the 29th annual Brigalow Arts Festival from Friday 10 October to Friday 12 December 2025 at the Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery in Biloela. This year’s exhibition will feature 195 artworks by 105 artists from across Central Queensland, with a $19,000 prize pool on offer.
The Brigalow Arts Festival has become one of the region’s most anticipated art events, providing a platform for artists at all stages of their careers to present their work to the wider community, showcasing Central Queensland’s emerging artists.
“We have so many talented people here in Central Queensland, and the Brigalow Arts Festival gives them a place where their work can be seen and enjoyed by the whole community. This year’s artwork is incredible, and I’d encourage everyone to come along and see it for themselves,” Mayor Ferrier said.
The 2025 guest judges are Niloufar Lovegrove, an award-winning printmaker based in Rockhampton, and William Debois, a French-Australian photographer from Gladstone. Together they will bring their expertise in awarding this year’s prizes.
Visitors are invited to stay in Biloela for a weekend of festival events, including the official opening night with live music, awards and refreshments, a hands-on printmaking workshop, and a networking lunch for artists.
The Brigalow Arts Festival is proudly supported by Banana Shire Council through the Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery.
Tickets and event details are available via the Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery website.
