Banana Shire Council uses VendorPanel Marketplace for Business
Banana Shire Council has launched VendorPanel Marketplace an online procurement platform that helps Council buyers find local suppliers and award contracts. VendorPanel Marketplace is entirely free for suppliers and offers a way to get in front of Banana Shire Council buyers and have a fair go at winning the work.
VendorPanel uses geolocation to make it easy for Council to identify local suppliers and invite them to submit quotes and proposals for their projects and works. Suppliers are encouraged to register on the VendorPanel Marketplace platform. If you would like to register now, visit VendorPanel Marketplace
Once registered, suppliers can receive invitations to quote on work across dozens of categories, from building products to transportation and freight. The platform manages all communication between Council and suppliers, reducing admin, saving time, and ensuring procurement best practice is followed. If suppliers are already registered with VendorPanel Marketplace re-registering is not required, however updating and or confirming current details is recommended.

VP474898 Design of 3x Pool Facility Controller Boards/Switchboards
|
Town/Area:
|
Biloela, Moura, and Taroom
|
Scope:
|
Council is seeking to engage a contractor to design a like-for-like replacement controller/switch boards at Council’s three pool facilities. All three are in a position where they have high exposure to chemicals. For this reason, we are requesting high corrosion resistant materials are to be used.
We propose all new switchboard units be floor mounted and powder coated aluminium, if you can suggest a better material to withstand the chemical exposure, we welcome suggestions.
All drawings are to be completed and supplied to Council in a suitable format with relevant information to ensure the engaged electrician can deliver the project on site. They are to ensure RCD coverage.
Biloela Pool Facility (Rainbow Street, Biloela)
The current controller board, pictures attached, controls 50m pool pump, filtration and sanitation. It is currently outdated and in a state of disrepair, non-compliant and has some tripping issues.
Taroom Pool Facility (Yaldwyn Street, Taroom)
The current main switchboard has reached its useful end of life. The board currently services the kiosk area, and the filtration, sanitation and pumps. Council is considering relocation of the board (within the same building) as it does not meet current specifications. The current board may contain asbestos. It is likely that Ergon smart meters will be installed rather than the existing infrastructure.
Moura Pool Facility (Davey Street, Moura)
The current controller board, pictures attached, controls 25m & 50m pool pump, filtration and sanitation, and a 25m heating system. The board is currently outdated and in a state of disrepair, non-compliant and has some tripping issues.
If you require a site visit or further videos/photos of the current set up, please contact Council.
Please include travel and accommodation if a visit to the pool is required as part of the design process.
All designs must comply with Competitive Metering Industry Groups' National Metering Installation Requirements (MIRs), and AS/NZS 3000.
This request is only for the design of the replacement switchboards.

If you are already registered in VendorPanel (eg for Tender purposes and/or Local Buy arrangements) it is still required to register in the Marketplace area to ensure Council buyers see that your organisation is available for receiving quotations in the categories that suit your business.

Local businesses and suppliers should register in all the categories that best represent the goods and/ or services available to Council. This will help raise awareness with Council purchasing staff that a business/ supplier exists in a particular category.
What if you are on a supplier list with another colleague and you decline an invitation, can the colleague still access that Quote?
Yes they can. An example is that you could have 5 colleagues on a list and they will all receive an invitation to Quote posted to that list. If one person declines to respond, they will no longer receive notifications regarding that particular opportunity. Other colleagues can still respond to the request and the Vendor Administrator will be able to see if there is a response submitted or in draft. Only if the Administrator declines to respond will the opportunity close and the buyer be notified.
What if your product or services are not listed as a category on Marketplace?
If your product or service is not listed please email VendorPanel directly on support@vendorpanel.com.au
How do I see what my company looks like to Council?
If you click on “Supplier lists you manage” from your dashboard there is the option to ‘preview details’. This will bring up your profile as it is displayed to buyers.
