Hear about energy projects in the Callide/Dawson region at the Queensland Community Energy Forum in Biloela

Queensland Community Energy Forums provide an early opportunity to hear about upcoming developments. They help build a shared understanding of the benefits of these projects and how potential impacts will be managed.

Building on the success of the first four forums held in the Western Downs, Isaac, Maranoa and Flinders regions since 2024, the initiative continues in the Banana region. Here, communities, industry, and government are coming together to have conversations about what these projects mean for local areas.

Coexistence Queensland and the Queensland Renewable Energy Council (QREC), in partnership with Banana Shire Council, are bringing the next Forum to Biloela on Monday 24 November 2025.

The Forum serves as a vital platform for connecting the energy industry with regional communities, focusing on the “Why,” “What,” and “How” of development. Supported by local government, agriculture, resources, and conservation sectors, the Forum aims to:

Enhance support and coordination within the energy industry through clear information sharing.

Promote a shared understanding and encourage collaborative problem-solving among stakeholders.

Build lasting, trust-based relationships between industry and local communities.
