Disaster Recovery Grants & Loans - Primary Producers

The Disaster Recovery Grants and Loans for primary producers are now activated for the Banana Shire. 
Queensland primary producers impacted during disaster events may be eligible for low interest loans and grants to help them recover. 

Producers can apply for:

• Freight subsidies of up to $5,000 per property to move essential materials such as fodder, building and fencing materials, machinery, and animals for restocking.
• Disaster assistance loans of up to $250,000 at a concessional rate.
• Disaster assistance (essential working capital) loans to continue the normal operation of your primary production enterprise

The freight subsidies are administered by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and the grants/loans are administered by QRIDA.
