Banana Shire Council has recently created a new advisory committee of Council to provide advice to Council on projects to be funded under renewable energy projects Community Benefit Arrangements.
Council is currently looking for seven members to be members of the advisory committee which will be jointly chaired by Mayor, Cr Neville Ferrier and the CEO of Coexistence Queensland, Mr Warwick Squire.

The Biloela Fire Service along with other emergency services will be out with lights and sirens around the streets of Biloela starting 3.30pm, 24 December 2025. Please note there is no particular route so be ready in your yards once you hear them!

Thangool Fire and Rescue are doing their long awaited Lolly Drop around Thangool!
Look out for the fire truck doing the rounds around town with lights and sirens, commencing at 4.30pm, 24 December. They look forward to seeing all the kids big and small and Santa might be making a surprise appearance!

The Dawson Jockey Club invites you to join them trackside for a fun-filled Christmas Race Day featuring a five race program. Gates and bars open at 11am.
