Banana Shire Council activated its Disaster Management Coordination Centre in response to recent heavy rainfall and localised flooding across the Shire at 2am Tuesday 10 March.
Our Local Disaster Management Group has been working around the clock in the Disaster Management Coordination Centre to help get our community back up and running after the recent heavy rain and flooding.
While much of this work happens out of sight, the effort and coordination behind the scenes are constant and focused on helping our community recover.
Representatives from: Banana Shire Council, Queensland Police, Queensland Ambulance Service and other partner agencies.
These teams work together to assess impacts, prioritise resources and plan recovery actions so support reaches the people and places that need it most. Thank you to all agencies and staff.
