Banana Shire Council is pleased to announce the Biloela Industrial Incentives Initiative, a competitive grants program to stimulate investment in shared infrastructure that attracts new and expanding businesses and places Banana Shire as a key industrial hub in Central Queensland.
The Queensland Government has allocated $3.5 million to Banana Shire Council to attract investment in the Biloela Industrial Precinct, support economic diversification, and help local businesses prepare for growth in the Shire’s foundational and emerging industries.
The Biloela Industrial Incentives Initiative aims to leverage public funds to attract private, industry and research capital and increase the scale of activity in the Biloela Industrial Precinct. Proposals for other industrial lands in the shire may be considered.

The program will be delivered through a two-stage competitive process. Expressions of interest are expected to open in February 2026, which will then be followed by a more detailed request for proposals for shared assets that support multiple businesses.
