Banana Shire Council was proud to be represented at the Queensland–China Investment Roundtable, hosted by the Global Investment Attraction team at Trade and Investment Queensland. As part of the Central Queensland regional representation, Council participated in targeted small‑group discussions with Chinese investors, Queensland Government colleagues and local councils. These discussions focused on identifying region‑specific opportunities, aligning strategic priorities and exploring practical pathways to attract foreign direct investment into Queensland. From enabling infrastructure and priority sectors to a growing pipeline of investable projects, the region was well positioned for informed and productive conversations. Banana Shire Council remains committed to championing Central Queensland and supporting sustainable economic growth through strategic investment partnerships.
