Rockhampton-based performers and writers Thomas Sayers and Jodie van de Wetering will be at Biloela's The Kariboe St Collective on Saturday, July 20 with two workshops to get your creativity flowing, spark new ideas, and give you a taste of some different artforms. These workshops are suitable for ages 15+, and open to everyone from beginners to more experienced word wranglers. Cost is $15 for one workshop, or $25 for both. Creative storytelling: 10am - 12:30pm Writer, performer and generator of creative mayhem Jodie van de Wetering leads an expedition through how stories are structured and told, with interactive activities and opportunities to try your hand at poetry, flash fiction, and memoir. Writing for comedy: 1pm - 2:30pm Comedian Thomas Sayers presents a workshop focused around writing and stagecraft. A great place to start if you'd like to learn the art of writing and telling jokes, engaging with an audience, and getting laughs.
