Animal Adoptions

animal adoption

Banana Shire Council continually aims to rehome unwanted animals to the community. Based from our Biloela Animal Management Facility, we offer both cats and dogs for adoption.

Upon release, all animals must be microchipped, and dogs must be registered. We offer discounted desexing through local veterinary clinics. Your new pet has already had a worm and flea treatment to ensure they are in tip-top health.

Refer to our fees and charges for microchipping, registration, and adoption fees.

Rescue groups who are interested in working alongside Banana Shire Council, are encouraged to reach out to us to assist in the continual efforts to give unwanted pets a responsible and nurturing home.

For more information or to arrange an appointment, please contact the council at 4992 9500 or email us at enquries@banana.qld.gov.au
