Plea for patience when following street sweeper

Plea for patience when following street sweeper

Published: 5th January 2021

Sweeping of the gutters and streets in all towns and major intersections across Banana Shire commences this week.

The street sweeper will start in Biloela, move on up to Dululu and then work its way down to Taroom over the next few weeks.

Residential streets will be swept during working hours and commercial streets early in the morning. When school resumes, school zones will be swept before or after school times.

Residents are asked to park their vehicles in their driveways and not on the street if possible during the next few weeks, particularly near drains, grids and corner blocks.

The street sweeper can only drive very slowly when sweeping and the truck is left-hand drive, so please be patient if the truck is in front of you.
