Free face masks available within Banana Shire

Banana Shire Council is coordinating the availability of face masks for distribution to the community.

Mayor Nev Ferrier said “this initiative is on behalf of Queensland Health who organised the supply of face masks and we thank them for providing this support to our communities.  However, available stocks will only allow a collection limit of two (2) per person.” 

It is a Queensland Health requirement that you must carry a face mask at all times when you leave home, unless you have a lawful reason not to.  You must also wear a face mask in indoor areas.

Masks are currently available in Biloela at the following locations:

  • Office of Colin Boyce MP;
  • Biloela library;
  • Biloela Visitor Information Centre;
  • Biloela Heritage Village; and
  • St Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies)

Masks will also be available at the following locations as of Wednesday 7 April 2021;

  • Banana Shire Council Office Taroom ;
  • Banana Shire Council Office Moura;and
  • Theodore Hospital.
