Have your say at the Banana Shire Public Meetings

Banana Shire Council will be conducting a series of public meetings which will be held over the next four weeks across the Shire. Community members are encouraged to attend the meetings to discuss Council’s new Corporate Plan and receive an update on the Place Based Plan.  “We are pleased to provide updates to the communities across the Shire on what Council has achieved in the past year and look forward to hearing first-hand on what our communities want for their future,” said Nev Ferrier Mayor of Banana Shire Council. The community meetings will commence on Tuesday the 20th April at Taroom and will continue through until the 12th of May finishing at Theodore. The meetings will be an informal discussion where community members can discuss outcomes and priorities for each local area.  Locations and dates of upcoming meetings are:

 

Moura & Banana           27th April                     5.30pm Kianga Memorial Hall

 

Biloela, Thangool

Goovigen &Jambin       28th April                     5.30pm Biloela Civic Centre

 

Wowan & Dululu          29th April                     5.30pm Wowan RSL Hall

 

Baralaba                      11 May                        5.30pm Baralaba Hall

 

Theodore                      12 May                        Theodore Hall

 

The meetings will commence at 5.30pm and will include a sausage sizzle, tea and coffee. Council encourages all members of the community to attend these public meetings to receive first hand updates and share outcomes and work out priorities for each and every community.
