Cattle Grid Replacement

 

Roadworks advice

 

The Banana Shire Council advise the following new work area will be established in November 2022, for construction of the new grid on Ghinghinda Road, Taroom progresses (refer to map):

 

• The grid replacement works are scheduled to commence on Monday 14th November 2022, weather permitting. A temporary grid and side track will be put in place during construction to allow for the continued flow of traffic.

 

What to expect: The replacement works are to be completed within 2 weeks weather permitting.

 

Traffic control: No interruptions to traffic flow should occur due to the establishment of a side track. Motorists are reminded to exercise caution and observe all warning signs and speed restrictions directions during the works.

 

Access: Temporary measures will be put in place to ensure access to private properties is maintained.

 

Noise, dust, and vibration: Audible noise, possible dust, and localised vibrations from construction activities and heavy machinery. Reversing alarms and flashing lights are a safety requirement and will be always used during work.

 

Working hours: 6am – 6pm

 

The project team will continue to keep nearby residents, businesses, motorists, and key stakeholders updated throughout construction.
