2024 Banana Shire Australia Day Celebrations & Awards Nominees

The 2024 Australia Day Celebrations will be hosted by the Biloela Community and will be held at the Biloela Show Grounds on Friday 26 January, 2024.

Gates open at 7.00am for a Poet’s breakfast and the Official Ceremony will commence at 9:00am with presentation of the Awards and a Citizenship Ceremony. Following the ceremony until 2:00 pm, the Biloela Showgrounds will transform into a hub of excitement with a Family Fun Day. With food trucks, live performances, and a variety of activities for children.

“Australia Day Awards are a significant occasion in our community.  It’s a time for everyone to come together and acknowledge the outstanding individuals and groups across the Shire,” said Mayor of Banana Shire Council, Nev Ferrier.

Banana Shire Council received over 60* nominations across 10 categories for the 2024 Banana Shire Australia Day Awards.
