Please find below the Electoral Commission of Queensland guidance on the local government elections in Banana Shire.

Residents in Moura, Thangool, Wowan, Baralaba and surrounds (divisions 3,4 and 5) do not have to vote in the election as both the Mayor and the local Councillor have been elected unopposed.

The ballot in Banana Shire is a full postal vote and ballots will be posted to your enrolled address. If you have moved since the last election you need to update your details in order for you to receive your ballot. Electoral rolls closed on 5 February 2024 therefore if you have moved since the last election and have not yet updated your address you should contact the Electoral Commission. There are no in-person voting opportunities for residents of Banana Shire.

Residents in divisions 3,4 and 5 will not receive any ballot papers as these elections have been resolved.
