Newly Elected Banana Shire Council

The newly elected Banana Shire Council was officially sworn in by CEO Tom Upton on Thursday 4th April 2024 Council Chambers in Biloela.  Mayor Nev Ferrier and Councillors took the Oath of Office, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Council.

 

Cr Terri Boyce was appointed Deputy Mayor, bringing her experience and dedication to the leadership team.

 

Mayor Nev Ferrier said, "I am looking forward to another term as Mayor and working with this new group of Councillors. I am sure we are going to achieve a great deal for the Shire in the next four years, it's an exciting time for Council."

 

Chief Executive Officer of Banana Shire Council, Tom Upton, conducted the ceremony and extended his congratulations to all elected members. "It was an honour to welcome our new-look Banana Shire Council this morning. I congratulate all of the elected members and look forward to working with them," said Mr. Upton.

 

The first official Council meeting of the new term is scheduled for the 24th of April, 2024.
