This workshop encourages experimentation with different ways to approach drawing familiar or favourite subjects to give them more feeling, and to gain confidence in completing a substantial work which has more integrity and flair. Come with an open mind and no preconceived ideas. Be prepared to challenge yourself!

Using your own preferred media you will take home something creative which can be a source for further exploration, expanded upon or even complete.

The workshop will experiment briefly with the essentials of drawing – contour, gesture, tone, form using different media.  Composition is also important and will be covered as well. After lunch participants have time to slow down and work on a personal interpretation in a new exciting artwork.
